-- Leo S. Glover, 83, CMR 8, died at his home early Tuesday morning following a brief but acute illness. Born Nov 11, 1881, in Putnam County, Mr. Glover was the son of Robert and Amanda Hinkle Glover. On December 4, 1902, he married the former Nannie Byram near Ladoga. The couple began housekeeping on a farm near New Market. They also lived on farms near Ladoga and near Waynetown. In 1926, Mr. Glover stopped farming and went into the carpentry work with the firm, Glover, Dale & Myers. He later worked at the Wilson Brothers Shirt Factory, a former Crawfordsville firm, until his retirement in 1952. Mr. Glover was a member of the First Christian Church and served as a deacon for many years. He and his wife had lived at their home near Crawfordsville for 37 years. Mr. Glover was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters. Survivors include the widow; a son, Laird N. Glover of Rt. 5, a well-known county auctioneer; a daughter, Mrs. Hugh Dooley of CMR 8 and a grandson, Edward L. Dooley of Lincoln Christian College, Lincoln, Illinois and pastor of the Youngs Chapel Christian Church in the county. Two nieces also survive. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Bright Funeral Home in Crawfordsville, Rev. Howard F. Miller, pastor of the First Christian Church will officiate. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Wednesday.
